Poverty Beach is doing good for the hits. Stripers 22's and 24's are being caught, although the Sand sharks are still out there along with the crabs attacking the bait.

Fall Trout Stocking

Division of Fish and Wildlife's popular Fall Trout Stocking Program begins Tuesday, October 7. During this two-week stocking program 20,000 brook, brown, and rainbow trout from the Pequest Trout Hatchery, averaging 14 to 16 inches, and weighing 1½ - 2 pounds, will be distributed in 16 streams and 16 lakes and ponds statewide. Approximately 1,000 exceptionally large rainbow trout broodstock, measuring 17 - 20 inches, and weighing 3 - 5 pounds.

Keep it Cool

The air temps. are dropping and so is the Water temp. 66. Come on, bring it on. Going Sunday for the Fish. Trying to catch the big one (anysize will do). Any fish will make us happy.

Bait for Stripers at night.

Floating Bloodworms? This is something the fisherman are using at night under the bridges around here. They are working. Also being used are Poppers and Plugs. All topwater baits. It seems nothing down low yet.

Water Temp. in the Atlantic Ocean

Water temp. in the Ocean is 70. Now we're talking. Lets keep the cool weather alittle longer and it should go down before Thanksgiving we can only hope. This is also great for the deer hunting.

Cool Weather Finally.

We are finally getting a chance for the Ocean water temp. to drop a few degrees. This means STRIPERS. We can only hope that the big ones come sooner than Thanksgiving. This would be a great Thanksgiving dinner. Striper on the table with all the fixings? Sounds good to me. How about it? Let me know if you have ever did this before. Great NEW tradition. Thank's.

Porgy?

Did you know that Stripers actually eat Porgy? I saw a show about it. I've caught Porgy and thrown them back as I'm going for Stripers not realizing this. Great to know now.
